Locations

Step Two – Choose the Perfect Location for family photos in Te Awamutu
Town locations – Great for a slightly urban vibe or beautiful local parks like You can choose from: Pioneer park /rose gardens, memorial park under the big trees or their lovely walk ways and we have Ngaroto lake just out of town

Private rural locations (Paterangi Road, Pirongia road and Wharepuhunga) – Perfect if you want rolling paddocks, trees, and golden light with way more privacy,

Step Three – Prepare for the Day
Family photos can be full of excitement (and sometimes a bit of chaos with little ones), so here are a few ways to prepare:

Snacks and water – These are lifesavers! “Pack familiar snacks so the kids stay happy and full of energy. Just like petrol in a car, snacks keep everything running smoothly.”

Favourite toy or blanket (though if we can I would like it to help me take the photos) This can help shy children relax and adds a personal touch to the photos.

Plan around nap times – I’m flexible with timing and will always work with you to schedule a time of day when your kids will be at their best.

What to expect during your session

Relax! My goal is for your session to feel natural and fun. We won’t be forcing stiff poses – we start most sessions with some walking, so we all get use to each other and the big camera, I grab a few candid shots setting up the camera and find by then you guys are ready for some interactive and fun stuff, where you can cuddle, swing kids around, play hide and seek in the long grass, have running races and just be together.

I’ll give you gentle guidance in relation to what I can see naturally occurring, or if its feeling a little slow I can prompt with easy steps to take so everyone knows what to do.

After your session

Your kids will talk about me for the next week or two as they make you pose for photographs 😂

I’ll prepare a beautiful online gallery for you to view and select your favourites and from there you can chose wall art albums or prints that will be beautifully delivered to you to adore.
